DFI Reflection Week 7
Reflecting on the Kaupapa of the Manaiakalani Programme in light of COVID 19
What are you proud of?
I am proud that I am continually learning and applying new ways to teach and engage my learners.
What do you regret?
- Not so much regret as get frustrated when technology doesn't work the way you want it to, either with user error or device error.
What have you taken forward into the ‘new’ era of schooling?
- Rewindable learning might just be my new catch phrase. I can see that during online learning such as in lockdown, this does make learning more available to all students at all times. But also it would be a valuable resource the students can independently access in class to support their learning.
- Ubiquitous learning is being able to access learning any place, any time. Students able to access their learning on their terms.
- Cybersmart learning and checkin should happen regularly, at the beginning of each year is a good time to refresh student learning.
- Cyber smart students use positive, powerful and proactive language.
- Today we learnt to use whiteboard and Håpara workspace. I will need to keep practicing with workspace but white board was pretty straightforward.
