Kia ora koutou,
Just about to finish my first day of Manaiakalani Digital Intensive Fluency. Found some really good tips to help me stream line my google drive, create resources with google docs and set up google groups.
What did I learn that increased my understanding of Manaiakalani kaupapa and pedagogy?
I was interested to hear about the history Manaiakalani and that it had been around for a number of years. I love the idea of 'Learn, Create and Share on a digital platform.
What did I learn that could improve my confidence, capability or workflow as a professional?
I was very pleased to have the time and tips to sort out my drive. For me this was a biggie and the tips with the numbers at the front of the folder title, colour coding folders and using an * were great. I also found the google groups beneficial because it will just save me time and again a great organisational tool.
What did I learn that could improve my confidence, capability or workflow in my personal life?
I really like anything creative so love to learn more tips and tricks with visual presentations. I also think this is a draw card for my tauira.
What did I learn that could be used with my learners?
In one word... everything!
Can't wait for next week.
Ngā mihi

Kia ora Kim,
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your thoughts on the day. Getting that drive organised can be such a mission some times, but it definitely pays off. I hope you've been able to enjoy it this week.
See you this morning!

Kia ora Kim, thanks for taking the time to reflect on the first day of DFI. Great to hear that you have identified so many things that can be used with your learners - I look forward to hearing about how you are implementing these tools with your learners. Your poster looks great, too! Ngā mihi
ReplyDeleteKia ora Kim, Really like your poster, looks simple, which makes it simple to find what you are looking for:) Nga Mihi Satchet
ReplyDeleteKia ora Kim,
ReplyDeleteWow... I think that is the first time I have seen someone blog that 'everything' could be used by their learners! Enjoy using your newly Maria Kondo'd Drive... colour coordinating folders was life changing for me. Nā, M
